Each township must have an alliance with at least one faction as their military protectorate since Mayors are not allowed to possess their own military equipment. Failure to do so opens the door for invasion of their safezone.

Military Takeover: Under certain special circumstances a town or city might be invaded by a faction using military force. The invading faction may lock down the city until the Mayor is expelled. The conquering faction must then appoint a new Mayor and pull out of the conquered city. See our City Invasion Guidelines.
